Brett, please tell me that what you're willing to pay covers the plane tickets and hotel costs.

I will pay hotel. You can stay at my house. I have a guest room. And then we don't even have to worry aobut shipping. Perfect. Oh, and throw in a Sun, Sea & Sand, Firenze, Seeland, and Strasbourg while you're at it.

ummm...Even if you can't manage to order either game from a domestic source when they are in stock, ordering directly from Europe is trivial. If you are capable of playing either game, you can certainly handle placing an overseas order...

It's like $65 w/ shipping. I want to pay like 1/2 that.

That's why I said I'd pay $1 more, not $30 more. cool

The OP never stated how much he was willing to pay. Maybe he's willing to pay $100, which means, you'd be willing to pay $101....right?

Not for imported games; you're going to pay the going rate, whether you buy from overseas or an importer; if you want them new and now, pay the price. If you want to low-ball, you're going to need to find an early-adopter that got burned, and wants to bail out cheap.

I import games regularly; the cost is almost always the same or cheaper than buying the same imports from domestic sources. Plus, it's at my whim, rather than the importer's.

If you can order from B&B, you can order from Amazon.de, MilanSpiele, etc. It is trivial, and as cheap as any other method.

Yes, I understand all that. I'm just saying, yes, it's trivial to order these games from an overseas source. But a separate issue (dimension) is price. I am cheap. And by cheap (for a game) I am comparing against different games that I also want, and are available domestically at my favorite FOGS, in the $20-$40 range (delivered).

I have paid import prices in the past, but more often than not I end up regretting it when a domestic version shows up for half the price (e.g. Stronghold, Power Struggle, etc.). I'm not in a hurry. DDvB will surely make it in a US version. The buzz is to good. K2 is admittedly starting to look iffy.
