Hi,

Just trying to figure out the rules, and on page 91 for BX it says. "Allied GR possible." (Version 1.14 rules.)

Shouldn't this be "Allied SM possible"? GR doesn't seem to be totally dependent on this, and also GR says that it makes BX possible.

Whereas for SM the bottom row "Axis BX or Republican Spain Allies" becomes possible with BX.

Dan,

Yes you are correct. BX => SM always possible, GR may be possible.

Text updated for v1.15.

Thanks Craig

In the current training session, the Axis failed in having Bulgaria on its side when:

declared war on Yugoslavia: rolled 3 (1-2 required)

declared war on Greece: rolled 5 (1-2 required)

Romania joined Axis. rolled 6 (1-2-3-4 required)

on the 2 subsequent turns: rolled 2 and 5 (1 required)

Now the only chance to have Bulgaria in the war and the Balkan pacification is to roll 1?

Did Romania join the Axis by alliance reaction or diplomatic event? If it joined by diplomatic event, you shouldn't have rolled an alliance reaction for Bulgaria.

Greece joined the Allies when the Axis declared war on it, so the BX roll is 1-3.

You are right Fizban.

I guess at this point the only chance in to invade Bulgaria or roll 1.

Anyone has any other idea?

Sorry if I wasn't clear -- I think you need to roll a 1-3. Greece joined the Allies, right? So why would you need to roll only a 1?

Axis made DoW to Greece. Greece joined the Allies. Then we rolled for Bulgaria reaction, but we failed.

At the end of the fortnight, due to a combined assaults from seas and land, Greece surrendered.

In the new Diplomatic Phase of the subsequent month, we started playing BX (1 needed).

We failed it 3 times.
Then we decided to attack Bulgaria in order to have Balkan Pacification, as Alexandria was already fallen and we were trying to uprise ME.

Maybe I'm playing wrong, but I would still have Bulgaria join the Axis on 1-3. Greece joined the Allies, even though it was defeated. That satisfies the 1-3 precondition, IMO.
