Anyone have a geeklist or just a few games that have cards that are like the Split Cards in Magic.

When I say double sided I don't mean "stuff" on both faces of the card, but
two things on the same side like so...

Up Front has split cards

Which side/s can be used depends on the Nationality of the side playing the card or the direction of movement required.

Sure why not.

I'm mostly looking for stuff that is "split" in half somehow, or something with duality in it. I guess the pawn cards from the Decktet are used in this manner for Magnate

Any card-driven wargame like Path of Glory has multiple-purpose cards:

You can use these example cards from Paths of Glory to:

- activate units on the map
- strategically move units on the map
- as event (card text) or
- as replacement (abreviated nations and number on the bottom of the card)

All the cards in War of the Ring (First Edition) have an event you can play them for on the top, or an effect you can use them for in a battle on the bottom.

The Advanced Game in High Frontier has radiator technology cards, which must be oriented to indicate the size (and attendant mass and cooling ability) of radiator to be built.

Which was also applied in that later versions of the game, Horus Heresy, and Dark Millenium.

Even more though, it also has the third element, the die, revealing values when "rolled" from teh deck.

Cutthroat Caverns has at least one:

Redemption has a few:

Space Alert does the dual sided thing:

My upcoming game The Golems of Ymhet also has a couple, like this one, but I guess since it's not yet released I shouldn't count it.

Vampire Werewolf Fairies and Zombie Ninja Pirates have cards that either add or subtract points. You turn them 180 degrees if they are subtracting points. Not totally meeting your criteria but sort ofwhistle

Now, in Horus Heresy (2010), the "bombardment cards" have much more than a dual-purpose, they actually have 4! FOUR i tell you!

They are used for either:
1) Orbital bombardment
2) Thunderhawk bombardment
3) Defense Laser hits
4) Corruption tests

7 Wonders has a card for each Wonder, used to randomly determine which one each player will use. The way the card is oriented determines whether the player uses the "A" or "B" side of their Wonder for that game.

This is getting to the point where it should be a geeklist, but

Hey Waiter!
has true split cards where you combine the two halves to make an action.

Here are the four card types:

What should be the title of such a geeklist? I was basically looking for cards that you can turn different directions and the card effect does something different based on the position and/or orientation of the card. I'm trying to think of something catchy that makes sense.

Multi-oriented Cards? /shrug
