Hey guys,

Ed only gave you half of the story. I am going to do two new games for Clash of Arms, they will part of the new Combat Commands series which will pick up where War is Hell left off.

The two games will be The Siege of St. Lo & The Carnage at Caern. Each game will involve both the beach landings on D-Day and the fights inland to capture the key cities of the invasion. The games can be played separately or linked together to form a grand Normandy Campaign!

I will be playtesting the games at WBC so if you are around come on by and we will get in a game.

Hey Mike,

The news just hit the presses and I don't start digging in on the development until next week. But don't worry you, I haven't forgotten about all your excellent help with Fires of Midway!

Can't wait to see them! I had the chance to play a demo of Hell of Stalingrad at one of the HMGS East conventions in Lancaster and have loved it ever since.

Looking forward to seeing these games. Just wish I could be there.

Can't wait for these, Caen specifically.

The 21st Panzer had some of the most unique equipment in the Wehrmacht, all kinds of weird converted captured vehicles and lots of rocket launchers. Hopefully, the flavor of these strange vehicles and the almost fanatical nature of the 12SS will be represented in the new game.

Jason,

All the best regiments which fought at Normandy will be represented and yes the specific troop types available to each Division will be available including some of the 21st Divisions "unique" equipment. One of the fascinating aspects of Normandy is that it was a battle between the two most highly mechanized armies in the world. Each side brought their best troops and the game will incorporate as many late war weapons as possible.

Look forward to seeing all manner of StuG, Stuka zu Fuss, Puma, Marder, Panther, and Tiger companies and of course that is just the Germans!

It is going to be a great game!

- Steve

Sorry guys, Carnage Steve here I have been out of the loop a bit as I spent some time getting moved into my new game studio.

Carnage at Caern/the Blood of St. Lo is back in production after a couple of months rest. I have a lot of new and exciting ideas that I have been working on mixing into the development. I have also been doing quite a bit of D-Day research and the result is going to be a game which is going to be very, very special.

Stay tuned...

- Steve

Hi Steve and assorted War is Heller-Fellers!

I am a big fan of Stalingrad and Midway, and they are the two WW2 games that I play the most. Sadly I don't get much time each week to play games, and I've been laying Lord of the Rings, Game of thrones and Call of Cthulhu card games.

But I will return to the fold, and am planning a couple of solo games of Stalingrad this week-end.

Really excited about a new one from you. When do you think it might hit the shops in the UK?

I also think there might be scope to have an add-on for either or both Stalingrad or Midway, to perhaps reflect a smaller part of the battle- or an earlier or later part- the game system for both those are so good!

Is Carnage likely to use something similar to the Stalingrad system?

Best wishes and good luck!
