This variant gives a player an extra reward for winning multiple games in a row. Choose an object to represent the "edge".
If a player wins a game, they get to put that object on the table in front of them.
Then, if they win a game while they possess the edge, they get a star, which is marked on the score sheet.
If another player wins, they take the edge from them.
If no one wins, the edge is placed in the centre of the table.
If multiple players win, and none of them possess the edge, it is placed in the centre again. If multiple players win and one of them does possess the edge, that player keeps the edge. I can't decide whether that player should then get a star point or not. What do you think?
This variant came about completely accidentally, when there was a star made from a twist tie sitting near where we were playing one evening.
