Hopefully this isn't considered too spammy.

Within the last couple of years I've been forced to pay more attention to how I'm not treating my body as well as I should be - I don't exercise much, I like fatty & salty foods, I don't get enough sleep, 80% of the liquids I drink come out of a 12oz can, etc etc etc. whistle

I've decided to try to get more motivated about fixing that, and it occurred to me that there may be others out there in the same boat who could use the same kind of support & encouragement I could when it comes to getting off our behinds once in a while.

SparkPeople is a web site that most people go to initially because they're interested in losing weight but it's also very much about just living a healthier lifestyle, and over there I've just created a "team" for Board Gamers, where we can talk about issues that effect us, try to reach common goals, and of course chat about the fun stuff too.

If it sounds interesting come on over and sign up: http://bit.ly/onscNq

Hope to see you there! meeple

Y'know, for all of the "fitness" threads on BGG, there really could be a case made for a Fitness Forum here. So that people inclined to get in shape can go there and commiserate with other like-minded fitness folks & share stories & get tips. It seems like it would be a public service for an otherwise sedentary hobby.

I'm bookmarking this - to join after I return from WBC.

No sense setting myself up for disappointment. I'm realistic.

It is my wish that someday the guilds here get more attention. I bet most don't even know they exist. (And I didn't know there was a fitness one.)

I've heard that's part of the current redesign project. The regional forums are going to be converted to guilds if I understand correctly.
