Like many of you, I have a large collection of games. Most of them are in my game closet, which is typically kept securely closed. Yesterday, however, my cat sneaked in when I wasn't looking. Sometime much later, I opened the closet to discover my cat buried under a virtual pallet of games. Amazingly, most of the cat was unharmed. Her tail, though, took some heavy damage. It's all bent out of shape. Looks like a coathanger someone used to unlock a car door.

Any suggestions for restoring a game-damaged cat tail?

I suggest putting the cat up for adoption to a responsible pet owner.

Take her to the vet. The tail is probably broken and will never be straight, but at least the vet can check for internal injuries.

The cat is probably more lucky that she was there to cushion the blow to the games.

Definitely take her to a vet, and try to gently immobilize the tale in its found position during transport if you can.

Just the tail? Who would want to adopt a bent-up old cat tail?

At first I thought you're the same guy whose cats peed on his games, and now his games "fell" on the cat

I could use a good keychain. Think it's lucky?

Parade the cat around as a warning to all other felines who are thinking of taking a tumble with a human's valuable game collection.

Common solutions appear to be soaking it in bicarbonate of soda or putting the games in a blender. My games fell on my ex-girlfriend a few years ago and I still find bits of her in some of the boxes...

I suggest giving the game collection away to a responsible game owner.

No word of a lie, when I was little, a cat of ours got her tail shut in the barn door, breaking it. The tip flopped right over. My mom made a little splint out of popsicle sticks and taped up the cat's tail. After a few weeks, it was almost as good as new, except for a tiny kink in the end.

Thus ends the tale (tail) of Sparky Splinter.

Drop the games on the cat so the body matches the tail. Problem solved.

Or downgrade to a hamster and keep it in its cage.

Laughter. Yes, laughter is the best medicine in this case. I prescribe a game of Eat Poop You Cat. She'll be fine in no time, jumping on your game board, scattering the meeples and spilling the Mountain Dew.

BTW, you should definitely submit a physics paper on your experiment, concluding that when you opened the door, "Amazingly, most of the cat was unharmed."

I hope the games are okay! Oh and the cat too! Maybe if you let the crazy attack chicken peck the cats tail it will straighten out.
