I've recently begun playing a few strategy games with my brother and a friend and our favorite games are Axis and Allies as well as Conquest of the Empire II.

I am looking for a light strategy/war game with a medieval setting, that also uses plastic figures, and allows unique nations like Byzantium and France. Sort of a Medieval: Total War created as if it were a board game.

Any recommendations?

If you want an Axis and Allies feel in a medieval setting then Warlords of Europe is the game that you are looking for.

I would prefer something that is purely historical.

Shogun: Total War, the first game in the Total War series, was based on Ikusa. You might want to check that out. You might want to check out Warlords of Europe also.

Thanks. Ikusa looks good too! I'm not sure which I should get first.
