Hi all,
I am new to the forum so please be nice

I have searched this forum and google as well as wading throught he DS rule book but I have not found clarification on my question.

When a hero holds a weapon does this weapon reduce his strength?

Logically I think it would not reduce strength and therefore a militia could use a dagger with no harm.

However, when I look at the "strength reaches 0" rule I am not so sure..

Thanks!

Regards,
Gus

The weapon does not reduce the strength of the hero holding it. The strength just needs to be at least as much as the weight of the weapon. For all other game effects, the hero still has their printed strength.

The Strenght 0 rule is there to remind players that Monster Battle effects for instance, could cause heroes to lose strength and therefore no longer be able to carry the weapon, but to even die when reaching 0.
