My son has shown an interest in learning to play warhammer. So I have drugged out and dusted off the old armies..I have never made nice terrain and always wanted to. I want to see if he even enjoys the game before getting into all that so I am looking some printable terrain for say hills rock walls and such that I can jusy print on some cardstock and cut out.. perhaps if I am feeling frisky I might put together a 3d printable building lol... Anyways thanks in advance for your time

There's some 2D overhead terrain for Battleground but you would have buy it and I believe it would be the wrong scale.

Here is a good free 3d paper terrain site

And there are a few free ones here:

I highly recommend WorldWorks, but buy direct from them if you go this route instead of RPGNow. The two are splitting, and you get much better support (and free bonus terrain) if WW has a record of you buying a particluar terrain set.

Scenery & Terrain

At the end of the second decade of the 21st century, the only reason to consider cardboard models is that they come pre-coloured. Model buildings need to be painted, but they enhance the game atmosphere and immersion a hundred times more than the paper stuff, especially if you dedicate effort and time to your figures. In case the price tag on traditional, pre-fabricated models from the likes of Grand Manner, Thomarillion, Tabletop World or Ziterdes are not your cup of tea, take a look at Infinite Dimension Games: beautiful models that scale nicely and are very reasonably priced. In fact, during crowdfunding campaigns, the price per model is close to that for paper models.
