We are just starting our descent into madness and picked up Arkham Horror and Dunwich. We want to invest in a high quality monster bag, but I want to make sure it's going to be large enough for expansion growth.

The bag I was looking at is as follows:

The dimensions are 6" wide by 8" tall. Will this fit all the monsters?

Edit: Link should work now.

I think so. Personally, I think a leather bag is overkill. (The link didn't work for me, btw.) You may want a smaller draw bag for the Goat in the Woods expansion, which uses a separate monster cup. I also use another draw bag to make an unofficial monster cup (all aquatic monsters) for Innsmouth Horror.

See also this thread. Looks like Heather at Etsy has experience with AH monster cup bags, so she'd be the one to ask! I'm sure she can further customize the leather bag you're interested in for a more Cthulhu bent!

I have a monster cup made by Heather (marsbarn) through her Etsy shop. The size of the cup is 4.5” x 4.5” across the bottom and is 5" high when standing. It easily holds all monsters from the core game and all 8 expansions (which is either 160 or 170 tokens, I forget which one it is).

Great, thank you. I mainly want that bag for the cool factor.

I use a Velvet Bag from a Crown Royal bottle

Personally, I don't drink. But my Father has tons of these so I grab a few from time to time.

it fits the core game plus Dunwich and BGotW easily.

Personally I use the Carcassonne bag, which has ample room. Who knew so many horrors were lurking in the French countryside!?

I have purchased several Crown Royal bags on eBay. I use a tie-dyed one for my Monster "cup"!

I think all gamers should have a few dozen or more Crown Royal bags lying around.

How else do you store your sets of blessed, normal and cursed dice (20 each)?

See this thread about the sizes of the Crown Royal bags -- Crown Royal Bags.

I like the big one -- 9 x 13.

We too use the Carcassonne bag. What's particularly funny is that I don't even have all the Carc expansions, but the bag can barely hold all my tiles.
