Ok, the family's going to Thailand - with a baby and a toddler - for a month (to start with). We're leaving mid-January and returning mid-February and we want a good apartment or hotel that doesn't cost too much. How do we go about finding it, and knowing that it's good before we book it?

What we're looking for is either a service apartment (with cleaning, breakfast/lunch/dinner etc. available) or a none-too-expensive good hotel where we can get that type of stuff served. Basically we don't want to work our butts off on our holiday.

If you've lived in Thailand, where should I be looking for an apartment? What to pay attention to when booking? Any general tips?

Thanks in advance!

Not a lot of help, but we are going about the same time. It will be our first time.

We are staying here: Dolphin Bay Resort

Not too pricey and seems to have a lot going.
