I am looking for the best Prolix players at BGG.CON 2011! So here's what I'm going to do...

I am going to offer a bounty of 100 bag to the player who has the highest single-game total score at BGG.CON 2011, and another 100 bag to the players who have the highest-scoring single word in a game.

Here's how it'll work...

When you finish playing, put your BGG alias on your scoresheet, and leave all the scoresheets in the game box. You can also put other information, like your name and the date and time, on the scoresheet, but that's completely optional.

I will periodically grab all the scoresheets in the box and stuff them somewhere for safekeeping. So don't be alarmed if you don't see your scoresheet in the box at a later point during the con; I have it.

On the Monday after the con, I will go through the scoresheets and announce the winners.

In the event of a tie for either prize, I will split the 100 bag as evenly as possible among all the tied players.

Players are welcome to play Prolix as many times as they would like in order to maximize their scores. However, please don't keep the game checked out all day. Let other people have a chance to play.

That's it. Good luck, everyone!

Forget the geekgold - just think of the bragging rights! Great idea, Gil... I'll definitely try to compete, though from my experience so far in the game, I don't think I'll put up much of a fight...

If bragging rights are that important (much less the fake currency), then I suspect some people might remove higher-scoring sheets to give themselves the edge.

There should be no more than a few scoresheets in the box at any time.

All the same, players with really high scores are welcome to hand them to me personally, if they're worried about foul play.

If somehow there is anyone not already familiar with Prolix, this is a great game. Plays quick, uses a different part of your brain than most board games, and it's addictive!

Gil, will anyone have copies of the game for sale this year?

Good question. I'd suggest asking Z-Man and Funagain if they will be bringing copies for sale.

Its a great game and best word so far was 24 points.
No i don't remember what it was -- but it was 4 x4 points and 2x3 plus some bonus points.

Linda unleashed SCRUMPTIOUSLY for 25 points! Well done, Linda.

BEST OVERALL SCORE:

Andy Lange

Andy, on alarmingly little sleep and despite a 14-point interrupt, hung 116 points in a single game to take home the prize! Had he not interrupted, he would have rung up 118 points, but I think he was just handicapping himself. Good show, Andy!

Yes you did. Although I don't know if that makes it worse.

Anyway Rusty, in my heart, you'll always be in the Top 3.
