Going Cardboard (www.boardgamemovie.com) is a film about the new board gaming, a phenomenon going on right under your nose, probably in your very community! This film will take you into that world to meet the players and designers responsible for this radical departure from technology. And you just might discover it’s the hobby for you.

The documentary is nearing completion and was successfully funded thru Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/LorienGreen/going-cardbo...). They received $15,180 (337% of the funding they requested!! surprise) and we were thrilled to see this project get the funding it deserved!

The Game Crafter was contacted by the director, Lorien Green, and she mentioned that she liked the concept of the TGC website and thought it meshed well with the content in the film. Since her documentary includes self-publishing and board games, we knew this would be a great partnership opportunity!

When the DVDs ship out to customers, they will include a copy of Reiner Knizia’s Shoot-Out board game, (which includes bullet counters, a d-20, two cowboy meeples, and the cards you need to play), and a DVD insert from The Game Crafter (www.thegamecrafter.com)! We have high expectations for this documentary and know that it will reach a huge, worldwide audience. We’re so thankful that Lorien is providing us with this opportunity and we will continue to spread the word about her documentary whenever possible.

Be sure to visit www.boardgamemovie.com to watch the trailer and get the latest updates on the upcoming documentary.
