I'm a relatively new TS player and love what i've seen so far.
I understand that battle effects which destroy cards take place after battle is decided (heroes fight till the bitter end!); however, battle effects which reduce strength and would cause heroes to no longer be able to carry weapons take place before battle. i understand why that was done - to make those strength-modifying battle effects meaningful; however, i would almost want to see the battle effect labeled differently. perhaps have PRE-BATTLE and a POST-BATTLE terms laid out. i guess that would clarify things a bit but maybe that's unwanted clutter.
also, i know that with the base game and expansions already out in production, it's unlikely that such a change will be made. just wondering if this makes sense to you guys or if you had comments. thanks.

If you can read this, then this sentence is false.

Technically, I think all Battle effects are "pre-Battle". The rule is just so that cards that get destroyed in the fight still contribute to it.

They are adding a keyword "Aftermath: " that will hopefully alleviate these timing issues. One of many awesome things coming up in the new set.
