Sharpano, LLC announces Tile Twist, a strategic game for family and friends...with a twist!

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/106283/tile-twist

Tile Twist is a new abstract strategy board game that has wide appeal for all ages and skill levels. The simple gameplay is easy to learn - roll the die and use the corresponding action to make paths to collect points and get back home.

The board is made up of 81 tiles placed randomly. The configurations (and fun) are nearly limitless! With such a dynamic board, players may only be able to move a few tiles on one turn, while on another turn they might cross the entire board!

The players compete to collect points scattered around the board and work their way to each of the corners to collect more points. Each roll of the die creates strategic opportunities to make a path to victory or impede opponents. For example, a player may be able to rotate one or two tiles and open a path to more points or break up the path of an opponent, add a blocking piece to prevent an opponent from reaching his destination, or trade places with another player to get out of a bind.

Tile Twist is played on a unique board with a raised border to hold the 81 tiles. The players' current location is marked with pawns that match the color of the starting corner. There are 16 ten-point pieces in the corners, and 24 five-point pieces scattered across the board. Each player has two "Block" pieces that can be used to block their opponents. Finally, the game also includes a full sheet of Rules/FAQ, and 4 cheat sheets.

Tile Twist is a game for 2 to 4 players ages 8 years and older. Average game length is between 30 and 45 minutes. The game is available in the United States now, and purchasing information can be found at http://www.tiletwist.com. The MSRP is $24.99.

It is nice to see someone promote their game without pretending to be someone else, not associated with the game, who just happened to want to tell us all about it.

Hmm...interesting. I've always loved Labyrinth, but with players with much sophistication at all, the endgame devolves into preventing the next guy from winning and never helping yourself.... I'll have to check this one out.
