I had my noon espresso early today geeeble geeble geeble and now I'm gettin' hungry. What's for lunch today? 1GG prize for the most enviable eats- no lying! Due to the terrible inequities of living on a rotating planet, this contest is open only to New Worldians, and residents of the Azores, I guess.
I thought Jeff was in the lead, though Rob might have been depending on the quality of the homemade lasagna (esp. because it's often better as a leftover), but then Mike went nuclear on ya'll. That's a tough standard to beat.
The plums are just starting to ripen, so I'll go stand under the trees and find a couple that are edible, then I'll have some Bangers & Kraut* (leftover from dinner a couple nights ago). And Iced Coffee. And a handful of M&Ms!
* yeah, I know it's normally Bangers & Mash, but I'm part German and part English (not to mention a few other things (but no French!)), so I figure Bangers & Kraut is a great Anglo-Saxon meal!
Best hobby, with the best people in the world. Gaming is the best!
Just came back from a lovely lunch of homemade chicken noodle soup, big ol' brat on a bun with kraut and German mustard, and crinkle-cut fries. The afternoons are sweeter since the German restaurant opened next door to the office.
I'm sitting in the parking lot of Caliente's (a local burrito place) waiting for Amy so we can have nachos and/or burritos and/or quesadillas. The FLGS is next door.
Jeff had the Super Sloppy Nachos. I had the Complete Q (a quesadilla), with steak, cheese, pinto beans, and diced tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños. Fresh jalapeños are so much better than out of a can/jar. Also, all of the veg was locally grown. So fresh!
Oh, and chips and locally grown salsa. That's right. Not locally grown veg that went into salsa. It just grows that way.
