Friend asks this question on Facebook:
"Board Game Fans: Are there any myth-centric board games for 6 people that can be played in an hour?"

Here is a list of games I got from an advanced search: 6 players, Mythology, 1 hour playing time:

http://boardgamegeek.com/geeksearch.php?action=search&advsea...

The only game I have in this list is Iliad, which is a cardgame, and may not be mythologic enough for you. One game you might look at is Odysseus, which has players in the roles of the various Greek gods.

All reality is a game. Physics at its most fundamental, the very fabric of our universe, results directly from the interaction of certain fairly simple rules, and chance... (Iain Banks)

Not many! At least, not that I can think of...

Iliad is a good game, and fits.
Yggdrasil comes close (60-90 minutes).

Arcane Legions fits - but is it "mythological"?

There's a card game called Myth: Pantheons, but the players each assume the role of mythic gods. I don't think it represents any particular set of myths.

Shadows over Camelot is playable in under two hours.

Conan Collectible Card Game - ???

Otherwise... Parthenon: Rise of the Aegean is 2 hours with experienced players - more like 3 hours for six people.

Yggsdrail = norse gods; coop. That might go over well.

Keep away from Myth: Pantheons. That's a trick taking game aimed at gamers but has bits that are poorly designed for ease of play.

Yggdrasil might be more like 90 mins, but it's a great game and the mythological theme goes really deep.

Thanks all! I should have noted that these are pretty new gamers. They've played Settlers, but not much else (to my knowledge).

I've submitted your suggestions.
