Hi all...
Just wondering if you could recommend some good games that can be played solitaire. I have Ghost Stories which I just LOVE, and I also enjoyed playing Arkham Horror as a solitaire game. Any others you'd recommend? Thanks!

Try Victory Point Games for their States of Siege label. They have loads of good titles.

If you like "war theme" and aircrafts, I think you'll like Hornet Leader: Carrier Air Operations.

As you said you love Ghost Stories and AH, both co-op games, you should take a look at Yggdrasil and Space Hulk: Death Angel - The Card Game

Finally, because you like AH (so I suppose you like the theme ), you should check Elder Sign too.

Ingenious plays more as a puzzle when done solitaire, but is fun.

Pandemic or just about any other co-op game works. Some are best played with you managing more than one player worth of pieces, Pandemic included (in fact you really have to play at least two players worth), but that shouldn't stop you.

Most wargames can be played solitaire (if they lack specific solitaire rules you just play both sides), obviously ones that lack hidden elements usually work better, although there are a few creative ways around that problem that work around some hidden elements for some games. Lately I have been enjoying the Conflict of Heroes games solitaire and having a great time. Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear! – Russia 1941-42 and Conflict of Heroes: Storms of Steel! – Kursk 1943 are the two current basegames in the series. I would buy the latter first if solitaire play is the goal because it has several scenarios built for solitaire play.

Yggdrasil is a great co-op game similar to Ghost Stories with a Norse mythology theme. It's pretty fun as a solitaire game.

Some of my favourites:

- Conquest of Planet Earth: The Space Alien Game
- Onirim (highly recommend for a quick and portable solo game)
- Dungeons & Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game
- Conflict of Heroes: Storms of Steel! – Kursk 1943

Some that I do not own, but recommend:

- Space Infantry
- All Things Zombie: Better Dead Than Zed!

Let us know what you've decided at the end.
Regards

There has recently been a PNP solitaire game competition on here. See this thread:

Some of the games are meh, but others are pretty good. Well worth a look.
