Two questions:

1. How are ties broken for gifts from the Next-Door Neighbor boards?

2. Is it optional to take a gift? Can I hold it and build later? What if there is no room for the gifted flower?

Determining next-door neighbor gift giving starts with the next-door neighbor to the left of the green current player pawn. If there is a tie at any location, it is resolved by looking at the cubes in the next next-door neighbor. If any tie goes all the way the table without being resolved, then a gift is not given from that next door neighbor.

Example: Next-door neighbors go clockwise around the table from A to E

next-door neighbor A: 1 red, 1 blue, 1 green. red gets the gift

next-door neighbor B: 1 red, 1 blue, 2 yellow. yellow gets the gift

next-door neighbor C: 1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow. green gets the gift

next-door neighbor D: 1 blue, 1 green. blue gets the gift.

next-door neighbor E: 1 blue, 1 yellow. nobody gets a gift

You must take a gift if you have room to place it, otherwise you leave the gift there and nobody gets it. You can't set it aside and place it later.
