I am so excited. I mean we all knew it was coming, but it's great to see some details.

Looks good... I'm glad to see that they are(seemingly) mostly expanding on existing game mechanics instead of trying to introduce a ton of new disjointed elements like BSG: Pegasus

The Greek's ability looks downright SICK!

Plus they start with Democracy, so that should be 4 coins fairly quickly.

I have a feeling that the Greeks will feel compelled to develop a lot of useless and stupid technologies that nobody else wants, just because it's Free!

Yes!!! I was dispirited by the earlier announcement of a Mansions of Madness big expansion, lamenting that there still wasn't a Civ expansion (not really though, because I also like MoM).

But what about Middle Earth Quest?soblue

I'm pretty certain MEQ will never get an expansion just because it doesn't seem suited to it.

Why would there be, that already exists:

Seriously though, I really don't think that (m)any designers really give any thought to solo play.

If the combat mechanic isn't substantially altered, I probably won't be picking this up. I own the game but haven't played in months, almost solely because of my distaste for the combat.

Eh, Arkham Horror has quite a number of expansions, even if you take out the big box expansions with new boards. Not sure why MEQ couldn't get something similar. Tossed out AH as an example, since for the underlying things in the two games have similarities.

Really? More powerful than getting 1 coin/culture space/free technology per turn?

Will be interesting to see if any of the new game options will really help the Culture strategy. I know Metropolis allows a base value of two culture instead of one, but players are going to need alot more than one or two extra culture tokens to make up for this slow strategy.

One of the new investment cards looks especially nice for culture.

It seems there is an "investment" that allows you to swap coins for culture.

The British are well known for being able to confound their opponents linguistically with a sharp and well-turned quip, so allow me to retort by saying:

Well fuck you too.

(Joke).

I believe that the 2nd expansion will be dedicated to the British Empire and will introduce Sea elements to the game.Im sure of it

Back to this expansion and I love the idea of being able to build bigger cities so you can cultivate more resources and have a higher defence.
