Great suggestions. There is nothing to add, except, if you want a lower complexity rating, try Stone Age.

Pandemic is a good co-operative game that's non agressive (at least between the players themselves )

Dominion and possibly Agricola.

Caylus is for 2-5. In its "User Suggested # of Players" poll, 30% say "Best" with 2, 54% say "Recommended" with 2.

Note that most people seem to disagree. The map blocking element becomes trivial (and indeed is totally eliminated after step 1), and many dislike the plant auctions with only 2 players. In Power Grid's "User Suggested # of Players" poll, 72% say "Not recommended" for 2 players...

I love Caylus for 2. However, I wouldn't call it "non-aggressive." (If it was I wouldn't like it so well.)

Year of the Dragon, maybe? It is probably the least confrontational Euro that I like with 2 players, although I may not be the best to ask about this as I generally prefer more aggressive games.

How complex ("heavy") do you want the game to be? Are you looking for a shorter game (~30 minutes) or longer (75+)?

You might look at this thread, and the geeklist I created as a result: 2-player light-medium non-cutthroat game (with detailed requirements)

We play and enjoy both of these with 2. Also Glen More, which has a little bit of confrontation. Race for the Galaxy is good as well.

Some 2-player (and games that play well with 2) games I enjoy are:

Jaipur, Dragonheart, The Hanging Gardens, Uruk: Wiege der Zivilisation, Thurn and Taxis.

Good luck!

+1 for Caylus. That game is awesome.

-1 for Power Grid. The game is very good, but not with 2 players.

In my circles Dominion is the most played 2 player.

I also like but do not own Stone Age.

Fresco is great, but works much better with 3/4.

For 2 players, how about Saint Petersburg? You can try before you buy at www.yucata.de
