While I just got the game, and not played, I am impressed with components and advanced rules.

I could see this being very tactical on a much larger board.

I am thinking maybe 20X20 board. You could have blue and green squares that you could change terrain easily too.

I was thinking about this too, Calvin. I recall an old chess-derivative game--I believe it was called "Sceptre 1027 AD" or something like that--which had (I think) four-by-four board tiles with terrain such as woods and ponds on them as well as the sixteen squares. A number of these went together to form variable boards for play, and the pieces were standard chessmen.

I wonder if such a "buildable" board would work with the C-in-C system for piece movement and capture.
