Dear Mage Knight Players,
Since 2000, Mage Knight has enjoyed being one of the most successful games on the market. It broke barriers and expectations, and it forged a new gaming genre: the collectable miniatures game. For the first time ever, miniatures gamers did not need to spend countless hours painting armies or keep detailed records of stats. Games took less than an hour to play, and anyone could jump into the action with a single Starter Set.

The game evolved over the next few years, from the massive castle-and-siege Conquest rules to the traditional-fantasy Dungeons setting. The Solonavi and Draconum grew from minor characters to major players in the Land. Empires rose and fell. We relaunched the game with the solid rules, relics, and new mechanics of Mage Knight 2.0. We added a complete spellcasting system. The adventures in the Land were chronicled in comic books, novels, and in the journal of an oracle in the popular Scrying Chamber website.

Now it is time once again for Mage Knight to evolve: Mage Knight: Nexus will be the final expansion for Mage Knight in its current format.

After the release of Nexus, we’re planning a major apocalypse event. If you’ll be at Gen Con, you won’t want to miss this party. If you can’t make it, every venue in our system can sign up for it. If you currently play or have ever played Mage Knight, you will want to be at this event. If your friends used to play, tell them it’s time to take out their collections and sally forth to battle one final time.

This will also be an excellent time to complete your Mage Knight collections. WizKids will be rewarding players who purchase Nexus Boosters with opportunities to receive Limited Edition figures and figure sets.

Is this the end of Mage Knight? In a word, “no.”

Many of you have already heard that Namco is developing Mage Knight: Apocalypse for the PC. Future deals are already in the works. And WizKids is dedicated to the Mage Knight brand. Podo will still lead the goblins, magic shield in hand.

We want to thank all Mage Knight players for their dedication. And we want to wish you the best of times with your Mage Knight collection. We hope that playing this game was as much fun for you as making it was for us. Join us in the future, because the adventures in the Land are just beginning.

We’ll keep a light burning in Kastali’s tower for you.
