I have more than a few games that i still have to play, i told myself "Come on Francesco, you don't really want a new game, you don't have the time to study new rules, heck you don't even have someone you can play with and you have enough games already".

Right.

Well said.

I can resist.

whistle

Then five minutes ago i placed an order for the following games:

Combat Commander: Europe
Lock 'n Load: Band of Heroes
Field Commander: Napoleon
Fighting Formations: Grossdeutschland Motorized Infantry Division

What is wrong with me? ninja

Oh, by the way, i blame you all!

I just placed a big pre-order order from MMP. First time from them actually. I don't have to worry about the expenses right away...got plenty of time!

When you're counting the minutes to pay day so you can afford a new game or wondering if you can do without eating to finance a second hand copy of 'Armies of Oblivion', then you are in trouble...whistle

Yup, at least eight games purchased in the last six months, mostly unpunched and certainly not played. Games from years ago sitting on shelves - unplayed.

On the way 'Lost Battles' soon to be followed by CC:Resistance; can't wait.

That kinda rate, I'd have NO problem.

The pile in my vids attests to just how
badly I'm afflicted. Too many things passed
me by, in the last couple decades, and I feel
I've had to play catch up.

Doesn't hurt that (for the first time in my life)
I can actually AFFORD to be buying. I remember a
time when I found the thrift shop deal of my life
(Talisman + two expansions + the minis that went
with 'em at under $2 total), I had to scrounge
cans together to buy it - and was debating whether
I could spend that money, and go without buying
food.

But you bought it, right?

I'm actually hoping I lose a couple of bids on Ebay.... but I want to win them at the same time.

Yeah. It was worth it even then - though
I don't like the game, and knew I couldn't
sell it. :(

I'm usually in the position of hoping to lose some.
Like, I just accidentally bought an expansion for
something I don't have - now I kinda have to pick up
the damned base game. Got a couple dupes, because they
were too cheap (or I was bidding on multiple copies)
to pass up too. Hate the idea of having to sell things
though - too much effort.

Possibly Glory to Rome, but it would take some persuasion. Sadly she's not much of a boardgamer.

Mind you I nearly got her to play Battle Line at the weekend - I'm taking that as a small victory!

It's 11 days since I last bought a game

However, I've just transferred some funds to my paypal acount

Also, I might need to go to my FLGS to buy my daughter a birthday present, and something else might catch my eye

Furthermore, I've just bought some Vikings and Saxons for De Bellis Antiquitatis/Armati-type games but I want to get some more

And ... shake

You're not alone!

Easy, I have my orders delivered at my parents' home or at my office. I keep most of the boxes at my game club or as my parents'. Then I shuffle boxes very often and, apart from many game mags of uncertain value, my wife can't really notice what's really going on. I must remember to password protect the spreadsheet where my game collection is stored.whistle
