I just started playing this game yesterday, and I love it, BTW.

I had a monster that was x tiles away, and his strategy for attack was to call for another monster. Does that monster that he called get to do an attack that same turn after I've resolved all my existing monsters?

Yup, the new monster card you draw is put in line with the rest of your monster cards, and he will activate this very turn.

The good news is that most monsters in this case will typically just move one tile towards you, allowing you or a friend to get the jump on him.

Thank you. That clears it up. It's amazing how this game goes from calm exploring to a storm of monsters very quickly. I've only played adventure 1 (and lost), but plan to play it again next weekend.

You're right, it can get pretty hectic, pretty quickly

Try running away - it often works for me.
