So this is why nobody is ever on VASSAL when I try to play... I'm at work when you guys do it!

I thought the same thing earlier. I've only seen other people in there twice, and once they were having a private game.

Look! The two of you posted within an hour of each other. I suppose there's some potential for finding a time convenient for both of you!

And if you have found a time, tell me and I'll see if I can make it.
As I post this, it's 06:30 AM over here. I would be willing to get up at ~ 4 AM for a game. I think the risk of me turning into a non Loyalty card dependent "sleeper" is minimal at that time.
Would have to be a multi-session game, though, since I have to leave for work right now. Actually, I'm already a bit late...! surprise

Vassal experienced person reporting for duty :)

Whats a multi session game? You mean breaking it down into seperatae sessions right?

Sunday should work for me , but also some selected GMT+1 weekdays from 11:00 PM for an hour or so :)

yeah. i thought multisession would make sense, since i expect a vassal game to take slightly longer than a face to face game, but i could be wrong, of course.
i am usually available for a game in the evenings around 9 PM (gmt +1) regardless if weekend or weekdays.
It is 4.25 PM as i post this.

In my experience you need to budget 4 hours to make reasonably certain you'll finish a game in one sitting. Most games should take 2-3 hours (depending on well the humans do) so being able to stretch to 4 hours gives you the safety cushion.

If players are new to BSGtBG entirely, or someone goes afk a lot, increase the time. (If they're new to Vassal but experienced with BSGtBG the learning curve's not too bad).

If you're all on Skype and can talk that speeds the game up.

What about someone who wants to play this game, never has, has tried to use Vassal before (but didn't succeed) with plenty of time ?
