I ordered one.

So is there a way for us to check on the number of orders placed so far?

http://www.gmtgames.com/s-2-p500.aspx

But they're going to print it regardless of order numbers.

This is not a regular P-500 listing. Its only there to give people a discount before it ships again.

Thanks Alex!

It says 1,593 orders... is that right? In just one day?

That would be awesome, but no. 16 orders. It's the reprint, down at the bottom of the page. 1593 for the original printing is still pretty good, though.

So, I should order another one and sell mine for lots of bucks.

As a matter of fact, all counters separated and bagged has got to be worth an extra $50 at least.

I wonder if there's any chance that the reprint will have deluxe (thicker) counters?

I wouldn't want thicker counters. The stacks are big enough as it is.

Seconded - not thicker, but more completely die-cut (less hanging chads...)

Great game design makes the complex simple, replayability maximum, and abstraction credible.

It’s not how well you roll that counts but how well the dice suit the game.

Ponzi!

Thicker counters...

Currently cutting and trimming my game, I'm thinking that Deluxe counters would be a great help here

But I do agree that the supplied counters are currently very tightly attached to their trees. A tad more than the usual die-cut fare? For a newbie to the concept, this must be an interesting exercize
