Ah, a session report for a game that has barely any content posted! Don't worry, we'll get to it.

The Family Farm, 2 Players
Forrest Vs Ryan
3 Years

Year 1
Ryan bought some seeds and then a farm extension. However, he didn't have enough seeds to plant on the extension. A realization occurred here that it probably would have been wise to save some money in case of emergency. Regardless, Ryan brought in $1250 through farming this year

Forrest started out by buying a farm extension and then enough seeds to plant both her original farm and a bit of the extension. However, she ran into trouble with the government and did not have enough money to pay taxes. She had to sell her new plot of land just to pay her taxes. Still, she managed to make $1250 through farming.

Year 2
Ryan decided to go all out with cheap corn, buying enough to fully plant two plots of lands. He also bought flood insurance (yes, we have four drought cards and no flood, used a die roll to determine if it would be a flood card). Despite his good luck at the market, Ryan was struck with DROUGHT twice, eliminating 3/4s of his corn. Ryan brought in $600 through farming this year.

Forrest wanted to purchase some more land this year but was unable to find the time to do so. She also got struck with a flood. Forrest was able to make $850 by selling her crops this year.

Year 3
Ryan was really feeling the pressure after having been hit hard last year, and decided to cut his fuel super close. He purchased another plot of land and a whole truckload of blueberries. His gamble did not pay off and he lost a third of the blueberry seeds during planting. He also got hit with maintenance costs and had to sell the new plot of land right away. Being short on cash, he was not able to harvest all the year's crop. This left him with a final game total of $4360.

Forrest could not acquire that second piece of property. She managed to get the inside track at the market doubling the value of any sales made that year. A super insurance deal appeared for $750, a steep price for only one plot of land. She passed on the opportunity. A costly mistake, as she was hit with two disasters, one eliminating her apples and the other her blueberries, leaving her with one acre of corn for the harvest. Forrest finished with $3800.

At least in Agricola I can always harvest! Farming is a tough life.
