NEWSFLASH! Long Lost Hidden Hunt SOLVED! Treasure and prize
finally REVEALED!

After 6 years and hundreds of close calls, one person has
uncovered the treasure 'buried' on the old R&R website.
Congratulations to Mr. David Arnott from California who has won
the prize! At 10 AM EST July 15th, 2005, we received a call from
Mr. Arnott listing the correct answers to the questions of WHAT
ARE THE FOUR?, HOW DID YOU ARRIVE? and WHAT IS THE TREASURE
DOING?

Originally available for anyone to see, the Hidden Hunt was
actually buried on the world wide web once the R&R website was
revamped. The only way to find the Hunt's clues was to utilize
the web's infamous Wayback Machine to 'travel back in time' to
1999 where the hunt still exists.

So it is with great pleasure that we announce that David Arnott
has won the 'treasure' of the Hidden Hunt. His prize is one copy
of every game R&R has ever published and.... a FREE TRIP to
TAMPA, FLORIDA for a weekend with the Riddlemaster himself,
Frank DiLorenzo! Mr. Arnott will be flown to Florida to visit the
world headquarters of R&R Games. He will be treated to a tour of
the facilities and a meeting with none other than Frank
DiLorenzo himself. He will also get to experience a game night
with the elite R&R Games playtesters. But that's not all!... He
will also receive a free day at Tampa's BUSCH GARDENS where he
will get to ride the all new SHEIKRA roller coaster!

We'd like to thank Tom Vasel, Derk Solko and Scott Alden for
spotlighting the existence of the Hidden Hunt in recent
interviews with Frank DiLorenzo. Their reporting caused a flurry
of newcomers to tackle the Hunt. Many have come close in recent
days but only one dedicated sleuth made the final leap to
actually discover the treasure!

That's great news! As one of those people who had made some progress towards the goal, I wish it had been me, but I'm glad to see it finally solved.

I see that David Arnott is a registered geek here (Arnott); any chance of posting what the solution was, David? Congratulations! Enjoy the games and trip!

Did any of the answers have to do with the meaning of R&R?

Has that been revealed?

Coincindentally, just today, I got around to listening to the Frank DiLorenzo interview on GeekSpeak (Episode 9).

What 'cha want to bet that Mr. Arnott and the elite R&R playtesters spend a drunken weekend playing poker?

Moo,

I'm just going to have to admit it: Ever since I heard about the treasure hunt on Geekspeak I've been feeling kinda stupid (not to say completely ungeeky) because I could not for the life of me find the treasure hunt using the Wayback Machine - let alone try to solve it.

Any chance of someone posting the actual URL?

(All things considered, at some point the answers would be welcome as well...)

The meaning of R&R has not been solved and apparently there's still a prize associated with it.

The url for the old R&R website is

www.rnrgames.com/index.htm" rel="nofollow">http://web.archive.org/web/20010412031832/www.rnrgames.com/i...

If you go to waybackmachine.com, just search for R&R games and dive into Jan 1999.

If you click on www.rnrgames.com/index.htm" rel="nofollow">http://web.archive.org/web/20010412031832/www.rnrgames.com/i...

it may come up as not found. If so, type in rnrgames.com in the search box there and you'll see everything.
Pick Jan 1999 for a good one.

I was a part of the party group with Dave Arnott. It was a great time -- and no poker was played. Now lets solve the meaning of RnR...

Wow almost 3 years ago -- how time flies.
