Hi All

Having just finished sending a group order of Eminent Domain out from the last Kickstarter session - thought Id just flag that Im happy to organise another for UK buyers if you want to reduce your shipping costs etc

We need another 4 people - Erik you are already included if you are interested just post your name below

As with the previous set up - 50% is paid up front and the final 50% once I receive the games through customs.

Take care

Jean

At the moment, I'm tentatively interested - I had the email through advertising this last night and had the chance to look at the Kickstarter page quickly, and the game looks both fun and interesting. I'd like to sit down and read through the published detail before confirming, though - can I put my name down as a marker, and confirm later tonight?

Hi Jean.

I would like to organise such a group order for France.
Nevertheless something is annoying me.

What about custom fees?
With your Eminent Domain order, did you have to pay taxes or something like this?

Best regard,
Atanaheim

For organizing such a package to France, please start a new thread specifically for France.

In relation to customs fees, it seems to be fairly random as to what actually gets stopped to be charged and what does not. However, you should count on having those customs fees.

Looks like we had a similar idea, only I posted it in a different forum, whoops - http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/718849/anyone-interested-in-...

We've got 5 at the moment to the UK. So hopefully we can get at least 3 more all up for 2 lots of 6.

I also read that you had customs charges for Eminent Domain - how much were they? I haven't done this sort of thing before so I don't know what to expect.

No worries Matt

Customs was £30 but depends on the value of the games - can't remember if these are more or less!!

Kings of Air and Steam is more expensive than Eminent Domain. So, I hope that helps with your planning, if that is what this is referring to.

Oh, and thanks for organizing this.

I did some checking, and it looks as if we may only be due to pay Import VAT on the games, not Customs Duty. A trawl through the UK Trade Tariff shows the following commodity code entry:

http://online.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/tariffFilter?...

Commodity Code 9504 30 20 00
Description: Articles for funfair, table or parlour games, including pintables, billiards, special tables for casino games and automatic bowling alley equipment

The only one that attracts a duty rate is playing cards, at 2.7%, and duty is only collected if the value is above £135 and if the amount of duty due is greater than £9.

So, assuming that the board games are identified on the customs declaration by the company as table or parlour games (board games doesn't seem to exist as a category within the 14,000 entries, but I think parlour games is a reasonable description) then we're just looking at the VAT at 20% and the inevitable post office handling charge.

The current exchange rate as at last night was about 1 GBP = 1.60 USD.

I've been trying to resist as the game hasn't cried out to me as yet. But I have enjoyed the three other Tasty Minstrel games I own and reading this and the other UK group postings have buckled my willpower.

Can I join the gang, please? - which I think brings us up to 5 people. reading the other list Happy Squid posted there appears to be one spare guy over there so hopefully we can make 6 too. I'll drop him a line.

Hi Lee - I will add you to my group as this is now full

If from your user name you are in ore near Portsmouth I'm only 25 minutes away in Liphook so getting the game to you should be easy.

To all other UK Bgg folks - I have one copy left in my order now

You might get thanks from Jean, but I'm slightly disappointed to have missed the vacancies! Anyone else in the UK interested in organising a group? With 42 hours to go, this is looking like I've missed an opportunity to be involved in a TMG project...
