Hi

I live in Japan, but I'm visiting the UK next month. I'll be staying in Northamptonshire, Berkshire and London. I am English, but the last time I was there was before the boardgame bug hit, so I know nothing of UK boardgame shops (though I know generally dorky places such as Forbidden Planet and Orcs Nest).

Where would you recommend I go? I've got my eye on Ankh Morpork, Eclipse, Risk Legacy, some LOTR: LCG expansions, Sleeping Queens or some Defenders of the Realm expansions, and also I'd just like to have a browse - the only game shops I know in Japan are shockingly expensive so I usually order online.

Thanks.

Hey I'm in Japan too!! Yamagata. Whenever I go back to the UK I get the shop I'm about to leave a link for to send me a big box of games which I then skillfully try to fit into my suitcase! spirit games:

Alright fella,

I would recommend [geekurl=www.boardgameguru.co.uk]Board Game Guru[/geekurl] without hesitation - decent prices, run by a very knowledgeable, friendly chap. Fast shipping. Just the ticket.

I can also recommend Boardgameguru and I've also found Gameslore on line store to be very good.

Hi

I'm not from the UK, but forums recently were full of discussion regarding "The Works" that is now offering a bunch of decent games for 8GBP.

Look here for more info

Staying in London, then leisure games if you can get to it, or orcs nest as a reasonable selection.

If mail order, take a look at Maddison games, I've found them te cheapest - I got fortue and glory for under £60 delivered recently.
