I want to complain.
gulp You want to complain! Look at these shoes. I've only had them three weeks and the heels are worn right through.
No, I want to complain about...
gulp If you complain nothing happens, you might as well not bother.
Oh!
gulp Oh my back hurts, it's not a very fine day and I'm sick and tired of this office.

....
I'm very sorry about this thread.

I have an issue I'd like to see get some air. I'm very interested in both what other users, and what the administrators, think about something. However, since its a complaint, I posted it in the complaints forum.

Thing is, nobody reads the complaints forum.

So, Step 1: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geekforum.php3?action=viewthrea...
Read that. Comment if you feel like it.

Step 2: Use this thread to share amusing Monty Python moments, relate them to gaming if possible.

Step 3 (optional): Express discontent with the continual degradation of the BGG community and how ignorant buffons don't know a decent forum thread from a kick in the skull.

I wish to complain about this parrot what I purchased not 'alf an hour ago, from this verrry boutique!

Ah yes, the uh...the Norwegian Blue. What's...um...what's wrong with it?

I'll tell you what's wrong with it my lad. It's dead, that's what's wrong with it.

-----------------------------

As for your situation, it sounds like you just got used to verify a potential selling price for an ebay auction. Now, why someone would want to go through the trouble of doing that rather than just listing it on ebay straight away....OR taking the money of someone who is already ready to pay....

Well, some peeps is strange, methinks.

I can;t remember all the details, but Monty Python quotes were coming out left and right during our 5 games of SOC last weekend. Too bad they didn;t have Sir Robin. *sigh*

Sir Robin: When you play a white card on a non solo quest, you may return to camelot as a free move.

"Brave Sir Robin ran away.
Bravely ran away, away!
When danger reared its ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!"

I'm sorry - this is Getting Hit in the Head, in here.

Not that this sort of thing can't happen on E-Bay, either. Seems to me BGG is providing this as a convenience. The games DB is what it's really all about, right? Can't really expect them to be the world's police, can you? Not to sound unsympathetic, but people are fickle, and this sort of thing happens.

No no no this is the thread for Monty Python quotes.

(and I don't expect them to police the world, but they should police users who do silly things, if this is indeed a silly thing. Also, one should think I'd be enitled to leave some negative feedback, n'est pas?)

I do appreciate the duality of threads here, but if we could try to keep comments related to the complaint in the complaint thread that would be scrumtulescent.

Sorry - blasted job keeps interfering with my BGG time. But if you start cross-fertilizing threads, you have to expect some hybrids...

Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad. When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me!

"Are you the GAME specialist?"
"No, no I am not the GAME specialist!"
*Derk whispers in his ear*
"Yes! Yes I am!"

This sketch was adapted for BGG by putting it on a bunch of tiles and screwing meeple to it.

Leave the guy a message telling him that his hovercraft is full of eels.

Definitly the best advice so far.
