Hidden VP Details

During your Scoring phase of turn submission, do not include your current score. Rather, document only the VPs you scored for the current turn. In other words, post only your score delta for the turn. Short of parsing every post in the thread, this will prevent others from knowing your cumulative VP score. Just as in the board game, short of using your memory, you're not allowed to keep a running total of other players' VPs.

Conditional Orders
If you know your next move before it comes up, or it's a simple "if this is attacked, do this, if this is attacked, do that", send a geekmail to me detailing clearly what you plan to do, and I will post it for you when it's your turn. This greatly speeds the game up, especially if you know for sure you plan to decline.


Special Power Die
If a non-sensical pair (i.e. Seafaring Kraken) is chosen, the special power will be rerolled and the original race will be kept. There is a list of known nonsensical pairs in the SWU Offical FAQ below, but more pairs could be discovered during play.

Reinforcement Die

Players will use the following custom die for the Reinforcement Die roll (if any) for their turn's final conquest:

1custom6{0;0;0;1;2;3}

Use the "Add a Roll" button while composing your turn post. When you Submit the post, the die will be rolled. Then edit your post to finish your turn based on the result of the roll. See below for step-by-step instructions.

*** Important Note ***

You must use the Comment field in the Choose your Dice window to state the region for which you're rolling (see image below). This ensures the region and die roll are linked to prevent cheating. This does not apply for non-reinforcement rolls of the die (such as for the Berserk SP and Pygmies racial power). Failure to do so will void the roll and the remainder of the turn, unless you roll a 0.

If you make a roll in your post, you'll see "[+] Dice rolls" at the bottom of your post. Clicking that will list all the rolls you added to your post, as well as their results. BGG uses this to prevent roll cheating. You can edit the roll in your post, but you can't edit "[+] Dice rolls". So, if the rolls in the post do not match those rolls, then the player has edited his post rolls.

Some rules questions:

How are we handling SWU powers on the surface? In the rules it says: (pg 10):

Last not least, consider the following Terrain types as
equivalent:
- Black Mountain/Mountain Regions
- Muddy/Marsh Regions
- Mushroom Forest/Forest Regions
- Mining/Mine symbol Regions
- Mystic Crystals/Magic symbol Regions

So, the Mystic Dwarves get +1 per Mystic Crystal - do they also get +1 per Magic symbol?

Next, does flying allow you to ignore the tunnels? "Any Region" doesn't seem to say "only above ground regions"...

Third, do we consider the line about spiderines in the FAQ to be in effect?

This refers to how to play them in only SW. I'd say that we'll play them as normal (they can attack from any chasm in the underworld, and have to go through tunnels to get above. No -1 for attacking cavern spaces.

recieved the tunnels expansion in mail today, and after reading it, total dissapointment. Any 2 year old could have devised those rules.

Nothing at all about the manymany contradictions you will get with powers and the mixed races.

Will follow this game closely!

Sorry to hold it up, but...

Do all the races out there right now have 0 surplus tokens in the tray? Which means if I take Reborn Elves, and if my 2nd race has no surplus, I'd be stuck with no bonus tokens from the tray unless my active gets conquered?

All of those races have [race # + 5] tokens (the default number), so most of then would have a single token left in the tray after being picked.
