Sounds like an interesting game. How is the game clock implemented?

It's the Offense deck. Once the deck is empty, that's the 2 Minute warning. At that point you are left only with the plays remaining in your hand and any timeouts you have left. Once your hand is used up, the half is over.

I can't wait to try it out tomorrow at Rainy Day Games! I love the simplicity and dice-filled-fun of Battleball, but this sounds so much more rich and compelling.

Interesting...how do timeouts affect the offense deck? And how are the quarters differentiated?

timeouts allow you to search the discard pile for a play you need that isn't in your hand.

There are no quarters in this game, just two halves.

One more question on timeouts...can defensive timeouts affect the offensive deck to keep the offense from running the clock out?

Yes, the rules state:
Quote:
The defense can prevent this (even on a normal running play burn!) by immediately calling a TIME OUT.

So if the Offense is going to burn a card because:
A) He just ran a RUNNING play and all RUNNING plays normally burn a card, or
B) He just "completed" a PASSING play and elected to burn a card
...then, the Defense can use up a Time Out to keep the card from being burned.
