The Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally System

Your Moderator has enabled the Cassandra Automatic Vote Tally system
for this game. In order for it to function correctly, your votes will
need to be formatted correctly. The following rules will explain what
you will need to do:

Players
1. All votes must be bolded

2. The entire vote statement must be bolded and enclosed in bracekts: [vote jmilum]

3. Only one vote per post.

4. If you [vote nightfall] your vote will be locked (voting
nightfall is allowed in the same post as a vote for a player, but it
must come after it, this does not violate Rule #3)

5. Vote tallies will be automatically posted to the game thread hourly
if the tally has changed. The Tally and Vote Logs (for each game day)
are also available on the Cassandra game page.

6. If your vote is not counted be sure to check the Vote Log page and
see if it was marked invalid and why.

7. Case does not matter and simple typos will not cause the vote to fail.

8. You may [vote no lynch] if your game allows it.

9. Non voting players will be listed in the tallies. This will only be
correct if the Moderator notes which players have been killed (see below)

10. Editing a vote post will invalidate the vote and it will not be counted.

Moderators
1. The moderator will need to post [Dawn] when the day begins
(after the night results are posted) and [Dusk] when the lynch
deadline has passed and the day is over. Votes will not be counted
after [Dusk] has been posted. They will be registered again
after [Dawn] is next posted.

2. You may include a day number in the dawn and dusk post for
informational purposes, but it will not be used by the system.
Cassandra will increment an internal counter each time it sees
[Dawn] no matter what day is shown in a dawn post (i.e.
[Dawn 3] the three is allowed but ignored)

3. After dusk has been posted, the Moderator may go to the game page
on Cassandra to request a Final Tally to be posted before the normal
scan period has elapsed (i.e. Game Y gets scanned at 45 min. after the
hour, if it lynches at 7pm the moderator may request a tally to be
posted from the game page before 7:45pm. it will also be posted
regardless of whether or not it has been changed since the last
posting) - Do this by clicking on the 'Retrieve Final Lynch Time Vote' link.

4. You will need to note which players were killed via the lynch or at night by
either posting [killed jmilum] in the thread, or by going to the game
page and editing the player list. When posting in the thread, be sure to post
[dusk] before posting the lynch kill, and post [dawn] before
posting the night kill.
Example:
A. lynch time has passed so post [dusk]
B. goto the game page and select a final tally to be posted
C. check the final tally and post [killed melsana]
D. after the night deadline has passed post [dawn]
E. post the night kill with [killed kima]

Your Moderator has chosen to use the Longest Held Last Vote method for a tiebreaker - This is just for Cassandra system, and there may be a different tiebreaker specified by your Moderator in the ruleset.

So it wasn't a hint then, I imagine?

What sort of hint would it be?

Okay, so assume it's a hint... what conclusion would you reach? To me, it would imply that jfro is the Traitor and AmCan is the Wolf. But that makes it a pretty dangerous hint, no?

I'm assuming you would suggest that you're also a villager, and that since he voted for lippy and said he didn't like his playstyle that when he hints again the 2nd person would be the wolf and that the wolf would recognize that he hinted here and would also recognize the 2nd hint, and therefore understand he's the traitor? And that since he voted for lippy that amcan is the obvious wolf?

That's a bit far-fetched don't you think? what makes it seem that amcan is the wolf?

The Traitor has 2 names, but he doesn't know which is the Wolf. So, he can't risk voting for them or having either of them lynched. Therefore, if jfro is hinting, then he's likely the Traitor. Since he's voting for Lippy, he's probably NOT been given Lippy's name. And since he stuck a second vote on someone, he was probably given my name and either you or AmCan (but having both of the other voters seems like a less likely scenario). Therefore, his doubled vote would be to protect one of the people named, and make the non-voting/unvoted player the likely Wolf (ie. AmCan, but possibly you).

However, that contrived scenario assumes that jfro is the Traitor (not that Lippy is his hint, but I guess that's also possible).

If it is a hint, I would prefer to just recognize it, point it out, and then log it for further use later as necessary. It's not necessarily a 'chase down' hint, but it's definitely something I would attempt to remember.

Whether it is a hint or not we likely won't know until it's too late (unless you're the Wolf that needs to receive the hint). Pointing it out is just as likely to mislead the Wolf (as Lippy's statements being misconstrued as hints last game seem to have led you to lynch your Cultist).

Mostly, though, the potential hint itself is fairly meaningless right now, but the resulting conversation it sparks will hopefully be meaningful. Especially since we're at virtual must-lynch.

Does jfro's willingness to place a 2nd vote early on tell us anything about his alignment?

He did this last round, so he could be doing this again as a Villager.

As a Wolf, it attracts attention, but it also has WIFOM value since he did the same as a Villager last round.

And we've already had some discussions about why he might do it as a Traitor.

Or maybe it's just a pure meta that doesn't reveal anything meaningful about his alignment... but it seems a fair question to ask given what we have to go on so far.

So, 2 votes on me within 6 minutes of each other, at a time when I can't react to them on account of it being 3am.

Rgatti, why metavote me when I can't be around to banter? Isn't that an inefficient action? You've then complained of a lack of discussion.

You also seem to acknowledge the fact that it's an unfavourable timezone.
If you could fully explain the reasoning behind your meta, I would appreciate it.

I assure you, the feeling is mutual.
Why place a second vote so early, especially on someone that can't respond?

I also do not like your tone which has read as snotty throughout this series. Notice that there is no emoticon after that? That is because, unlike the first vote, that statement is not meant to be jokey.

Why put a second vote? Seems pretty silly to ask. It seems to have gotten the vllage, or what was around, talking. That is the goal

As for the can't respond- you can respond, lynch isn't until later on today.

You seem to be crying a little too much woe is me about this. That strikes me as odd from you.

Keeping my vote where it is.

AmCan showing up would be nice.

Surely crying woe is me would be telling me that you shouldn't have done it?

All I've done is asked questions, and now you're telling me that I'm "crying woe is me"?

With regards to being unable to respond, don't you see how it's an inefficient use of time? I can't react until morning, you've lost a period of time in which you could have discussed things. Of course, you seemed to leave quite quickly after placing your initial vote.
Not promoting discussion early D1?
