This scenario pits both players in a race against time for Damascus. There is a downside however, and we strongly urge players to use this: play with the historical starting date for the Arab revolt as an early start might make matters considerable more difficult for the Western Allies to achieve the same speed.
You might also want to limit the initial Arab forces to nothing above 10 (so rolling 11 or 12 would still be ten units).

I am just entering the 1916 in the long campaign scenario. But I can see how an early start of the Arab Revolt with numerous tribal units can really wreck havoc on Ottoman's East Theater.
