This chain started at Fri Jun 18, 2010 5:24 am
Part 9 arrived at Tue Oct 18, 2011 4:44 am

Declared dead and published Dec 12, 2011, 8:16 am

Orignal intended chain: Chain A: Reish Galuta, ZeroZilla, BaSL, Game Guardian, TXMagpie, forthur, baditude, tickmanfan, gdapkus, Garou, Fortune

Actual published chain: Chain A: Reish Galuta, ZeroZilla, BaSL, Game Guardian, TXMagpie, Muzza, baditude, Donkey Thong, Muzza, ...

Yes, Muzza went twice, but it was so long in between, I figured it was ok.

I started it out with a quote from an old PC adventure game called Mean Streets(http://insidevoice.com/?p=166), a game where you could ask people what your own name was, and then beat them up if they wouldn't (or couldn't) give you an answer. This quote comes from when you are investigating a murder victim's apartment and you play a tape that was on his desk.

"They're in my head! They're in my head!"

ZeroZilla shows us the angst of an average man dealing with psychotic visions:

I'm not quite sure how BaSL inferred that our tortured soul's nationality:
"The English businessman prayed for the demons to go away."

Game Guardian knows of only one Englishman:

TXMagpie should write for television, I'd watch this show:
"Most of the Red Devil family was confused by Mr. Bean's story about one of their children running away, but Mrs. Devil, perhaps swayed by the money falling out of his suitcase, offered him cookies."

Muzza's first contribution to this thread provides some great continuity:

baditude hops the pond (ironically given his actual location) and goes musical:
"The devil went down to Georgia, he was lookin for a soul to steal, but he ran into a slick salesman instead who made friends with his family and took them for all their money."

Here was a giant gap in the timeline as we got stuck and needed replacements... you can tell by the ginormous gap in image ids.
Donkey Thong filled in nicely with a solid comic strip:

Then after long languishing again Muzza finishes off the thread with some lyrical genius:
"The devil went down to Georgia, he was lookin to make a deal,
but the man with the plan, leapt from the fire to the pan,
when from the devil he tried to steal."

I wonder if any more of these will rise from their graves.

I think Muzza's final sentence is a great take on the lyric + the picture.
Well done, sir.
