I know someone out there opened it...All I want to know is if opening was a good or bad idea when all was said and done.
I dont want to know whats inside I just want to know from someone who DID OPEN IT if it was a good or bad descision.
And maybe; if in fact it is ok to open, when you would advise opening it.
PLEASE NO SPOILERS that would be wrong and you would burn in the deepest recesses of whatever hell you believe in

It's a receipt so you can take the game back.

You *have* been warned. Do not open it. Ever. I am quite serious. You will regret it.

I wouldn't open it until you have already opened another packet. After that, it may or may not be a negative thing, depending on how you see things.

I looked at mine then put it back to save for later. It's interesting, but not really game breaking. It'll make for a neat change of pace later when I've opened several other packs.

Not spoiling the contents, and I'm trying to avoid spoilers, but I don't know how much of an answer you want, so I hid it anyways:

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Just like when opening any other packet, opening the Do Not Open Ever packet causes an irreversible change to gameplay. It is not necessarily good nor bad.

I open the package, and since I have 2 game boxes I opened the other as well.

While avoiding any spoilers, here is my advice:

1.
Do not open it.
2.
If you do, do it while playing, not alone in the near dark.
3.
The reason is that there are different contents. Mine was one bad, that I shouldn't have opened. The other was positive, but the positive effect would have been wasted had the package been opened while not playing.

I don't know how many different versions there are, but my guess is more than two.

So there are multiple possibilities. Different boxes have various content in that envelope.

It tells you to burn the whole game and after you have read it you HAVE to do it.

Interesting.

I wasn't going to open mine but now with all this feedback I think I should.

Okay stepping away from keyboard to open it.

BRB...

...Well that's odd. Nothing.

I guess some are packaged blank then?

Hey, 10:00? I thought it was 8:00

Considering it's been at least an hour since he stepped away to open it, he must have had a black hole or something packaged in his and now he's gone forever!

We opened ours tonight.

One player had played before and had opened the packet before. When we found it, he said that he would leave it up to us to decide what to do with it.

We waited until he left the room and opened it.

There were happy people and sad people.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
I was negatively affected by it, but it is an effect I can deal with.

It is, as the game is called, a Risk.
