This game is so quick and fun that I have played it already 5 times, but only 2 with the right comprehension of the rules.
October 27 Japanese initiative
Both sides are repulsed from a sort of no man's land in zone D and C. But the elite unit around colonel Xie stays behind and kills a Japanese infantry unit.A mortar arrives.
October 28 Chinese initiative
The Japanese succeed to advance but lose another infantry and have a HMG reduced. But the HMG keeps a foothold on zone D. Tankettes are put in place. Again colonel Xie stays behind.
October 29 Chinese initiative
Colonel Xie will catch the Japanese HMG without a place to withdraw and kill it. The tankettes advance and artillery is called for, but the second MG is destroyed !
The Chinese now hold a position around the Sihang warehouse.
October 30 Japanese initiative
The tankettes are now fully operationnal and push the Chinese back inside the warehouse. The Japanese try to spare their infantery but also to advance the artillery within range for next day. The security of the artillery costs another infantery unit, but the Chinese lose a first unit trapped outside the warehouse. Their MG is also hit once.
October 31 Japanese initiative
The Japanese artillery is now dealing with the defenders of the Sihang warehouse, but the thick walls resist to their shells !
The tankettes succeed to destroy the MG, but the Japanese are too few and the only infantery unit is repelled.
With the morale boost of the flag left on top of the Warehouse, the remaining troops can quit their "fort Alamo" by end of day.
The initiative roll is of biggest importance as if the Japanese win their artillery will catch the Chinese in the open in the middle of the North Tibet Road.
But Lieutenant Colonel Xie Jinyuan... wins the initiative and can march unharmed accross the New Lese bridge.
