I'm passing this on.

Having listened to many comments, the SMG design team has altered and upgraded the cards from the 4 "Character" figures who come in Day of Days. That's all 8 cards per each Character.

Those buying the game now will automatically get the new cards. Early buyers who purchased direct from LBG (meaning they have you and your address on record) are being sent the cards right now. The intention was to give you a nice little surprise in the mail. But in fact, a few of the new cards are already in circulation, and a posting caused a bit of confusion.

So, consider this an official announcement-- If you purchased Day of Days early, you are due 32 new cards. These will increase the base value of these Characters and make for better play if the only Soldiers you have are the 8 that come in the base game.

If you bought the game at a convention, especially if you used cash, LBG probably does not have a mailing address for you. Write to
sales@lostbattalion.com and tell them where you got the game (and give a mailing address).

"How will I know?"

Turns out the new cards went to manufacturing Dec. 1. For an easy way to know if you have 1st or 2nd gen, check Harrison. Is he 7vps? If he is, you have 2nd gen.

If your Characters list their weapon type on the Soldier card, they're 2nd Gen.

So that is two ways to check.

Enjoy!

General information...

Some people have already received the 2nd Generation Character cards in their purchase of Day of Days. We released the update to manufacturing on the first of December. Sales have been brisk enough so they are already shipping. This was faster than expected and they got to the public before our Christmas Card was sent. Everyone that owns a first generation set of Characters that we have a record for was sent the replacements. If you have any questions please contact Sales@lostbattalion.com.

Or if you ordered and got the game before it was listed on the LBG website:

Checked my account today and my DoD purchase wasn't listed, but my extra figures and expansion buys are.

(emailed the sales dept. today to confirm I'm going to get the replacement cards too)

The other way to know is if the character cards have their weapon listed under the name (M1 Rifle for Harrison and Fields, MP40 for Dreher and Mauser 98 for Maier). The first generation cards didn't come with weapon information on them.
