Does anyone know of a game I could get with the same six colours of ships (or rough approximations) with at least three different classes? Preferably with unique sculpts for each of the colours. I would like to be able to sub out the ships included with the game.
I realize I'm asking for something very specific. Thanks in advance.

If you add in Shattered Empire you get gray ships, which is close enough to white. Or you could just settle for purple == white.

I would actually prefer to have ships that are simple 'euro' style wooden shapes, such as trapezoids, which would be nicer to handle, heavier, and more in-theme with the rest of the cubes and discs. Any suggestions?

Might be building miniature fleets in the near future, funds permitting.

Whoa. Thanks for the link.

Wow, I was thinking to get a customized fleet since I don't own the game (a friend does), but looking at the prices, I'm not sure anymore...

Yeah, and unless you've got the paints already ... You're looking at spending 2-3 times the price of the game to build one.

I've also found it is hard to find pieces that are small enough. Most minis seem designed at about double the size I'd want (understandably).

Eclipse: The Xeno Project

Antti Autio says he made that whole fleet for $70.

Thanks a lot for the link Jim!

Those ships are awesome, I doubt I can reach the same results with all the heavy modding, but the sprues have a very reasonable price and for a single army I could probably put out something decent, I guess.

Emphasis mine. I highly doubt that included buying the paints.

I am gauging interest in this thread.

If there are 9 sets claimed, I will order them.
