I'm working on some (really) fluffy elements for my vanilla space marine army, provisionally called the Holden Wolves, and want to incorporate a central battle banner with the High Gothic for "...And they shall know no fear."

I'm trying to use Latin for High Gothic (where English would be used for Low Gothic). My twenty-year old Latin lessons (!) are of some help but the grammar is probably not quite right. Has anyone worked this out already or know of an online resource for 40K Latin?!

So far the mini-dictionary and I have "...Et nescient timorem," or, "...Et no tenebunt metum."

Any thoughts gratefully received. Now what are the chances of finding a classical scholar schooled in squad combat tactics? Think I need a Chapter Master...

Well I really cannot help with Latin, but as my surname is Holden I may have to steal your name, the Holden Wolves, for my own Space Wolf army.

Are you using the regular colour scheme or something unique?

I had the very same thought. Hello, from the American chapter of the family!

The Gothic translation for "...And they shall know no fear." is:

"...Jah si skulan kunnan ni agis."

jah - and
si - they
skulan - shall
kunnan - know
ni - no
agis - fear

But regard. This is a word for word translation.

I've also found this Latin translation:
"et timorem ignorent" ("and let them not know fear")
in this forum.
