One of the pics in the gallery is captioned as a flatbox edition.

Was there actually such a version, or only the Spacegamer magazine and standalone mag-sized editions?

If there was, anyone have any idea when it was published?

I've never seen or heard of flatbox editions of any Steve Jackson Games (other than the litle plastic pocket boxes, of course, and Globbo never came out in this format).

There were a few games in boxes that might be so characterized: Coup, Illuminati Deluxe Edition, Hacker & Hacker II, Orbit War, Star Fist, etc. But Globbo never had a boxed edition.

Oh, of course you're right Dan; mental lapse on my part (I've even owned Coup and Star Fist in my time!). Sorry about that.

I have a copy of this game, but it is not in a box it's a rule book with cut-out pieces, plus a small ziplock attached to the back cover for storage. It's well-played. Tried selling it on e-bay, but no takers.
