So I really enjoy playing this game it is a lot of fun to play as the heroes. Does anyone have any suggestions for other games that play similarly?

I really enjoy the individual-co-op-team aspect.

Thanks

This game also has 3 expansions, all of which I enjoy... Friends & Foes, Sauron, and Battlefields. (Some people don't like the Sauron expansion, as it makes the game no longer completely cooperative, but I think it's fabulous!)

Also recommend War of the Ring.

Also recommend Sid Meier's Civilization: The Board Game, only because I follow both games and see you posted there too lol Seriously, great game! Feel free to check out my list (click on my username to see it) as well.

Fury of Dracula (second edition) is probably exactly what you are looking for. It's basically a team of 1-4 players working as the "hunters" (Van Helsing, Mina Harker, etc) vs. 1 player as Dracula. A tad bit shorter and less complicated than MEQ. Great components, artwork, and gameplay.

Good luck!

I've only played Arkham Horror once, but it was fully co-op. No one plays the bad guys there.

There is a offshoot of Arkham Horror that does play like MEQ. It is called Mansions of Madness. I played it once. You have one guy controlling the cultists/dark forces/etc. versus the other players who are the investigators. It also has an interesting puzzle solving aspect. If you like Cthulu it might be exactly what you're looking for. It's by the same designer as MEQ so it has a lot of the same type of gameplay and feel.
