How big is the mageknight box? From the pictures I've seen it looks pretty small.

Not small at all. Actually pretty big for a Euro.

Mage Knight = 10" X 14" X 3"

The closest box in size that I have in my collection is El Grande Decennial Edition:

El Grande Decennial Edition = 10.6" X 14.8" X 2.7"

Hope this helps!

Yeah, it's pretty big. Not FFG coffin-size but still a fatty.

It's pretty small when one considers how much gaming goodness is crammed into the box.

It's so dense that light bends around it!

It's the right size. The game is packed with stuff. Not a bunch of empty space.

The box is not big enough. Yes, it fits all the game components in well. However, my oversized hexes on super thick card that I made dont fit in the box.

And in a complete derailing...

How did you make them? I'm fine with the Mage Knight hexes but would love to make thicker faction and supply boards for Eclipse.

Well, I didnt just enlarge them. I enlarged the base image, but kept the size of the locations the same, so in effect, they dont take up all of the hex.

Then printed out onto A4 laser label paper and stuck on the back of mounting card (very thick). Then 2 weeks of careful cutting with a very sharp knife.
