In a reply to the picture

I tried to post the following:

Quote:
Here are the dimensions (in mm) of the one I made with 3mm thick foamcore and that can hold the expansion as well.:

Bases: 90x77 (x5)
Widths: 19x77 (x10)
Lengths:12x91 (x10)

Cut the widths like this, according to the technique shown in http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page426.html:

An ASCII drawing containing _ and | only

Glue them, let them cure a few minutes and cut the lengths like this:

Another ASCII drawing containing _ and | only

Then glue, let it cure, find a ribbon to hold them all together and help extract from box and you are done.
Moreover you can even use the trays for the used piles. It makes the pouring back in the bag ridiculously easy !

Have fun.

When previewed, everything works fine. When posting, everything past the first "close code" tag disappears. It is doing the same thing here as well, as should show the next reply.

Curious. It seems to just work for me here:

I wonder if it's related to the link? http://www.terragenesis.co.uk/infopages/page426.html:

No, that's not it either. Wonder if you maybe accidentally (how??) inserted a null byte or something. Could you copy/paste your original text (which gives the error) but without the code tags? I kinda suspect it'll still break off at the same point.

So it might be linked to the addition of
"< - remove foam here" (without spaces on the arrow)

Indeed, problem solved. it is the ASCII left arrow that made the code stop.
If anyone knows why I'd like to know.

Thank you.

Wow, bizarre escaping here! Makes me suspect XSS possibilities.

Anyway, < starts an HTML element and without the corresponding > to close the element, everything else would be parsed as a part of that element, which is then stripped from the output to prevent HTML injection (though bizarre that BGG doesn't just escape those). You can avoid it by typing the escaped character "<" rather than "<"

What's actually happening is more complex, though. I'm seeing really bizarre behaviour.

[q]"< - remove foam here" (without spaces on the arrow)[/q] -->
results in:
[q]"< - remove foam here" (without spaces >

test:
[q]"< - remove foam here" (without spaces >

Yes, < and > are html markup, notorious for hacking boards. BGG strips and modifies them so they don't do any harm.

If you want to us them, you have to use the & lt ; and & gt ; codes (without the spaces)

Ah, ok, that's just a naive attempt to prevent scripting from attributes, by removing the word "on" and everything after it, when the "on" is placed between < and > - and then the closing comment notation (--) means (why??) that the brackets are properly escaped:
< foo on bar-->
results in
< foo >

showcase:
< foo >

It would be useful to have the same "stripping" happening in the preview as well.

This has been brought up a million times, but I seem to remember Aldie said recently that this should no longer happen?

Edit: This thread. Apparently it wasn't quite fixed.

I searched though but didn't find anything. I actually thought it was a problem with the code flags and searched accordingly.

Contrary to the mentioned thread though things worked in preview but not in the post.

That's also the way I reported it in my own thread on the subject.
