After combat when a unit routs, what happens if any of the 1-3 in the rulebook can't happen, so that you have to enter enemy ZOC or even enemy unit block your movement in the direction where you'd have to move(the rout direction)? Do you just move away couple hexes or what?
a routed unit has to first move away from the Retreat Edge due to
enemy units, enemy ZOC, or impassible terrain, that’s the way it’s
done. However, don’t take this as an invitation to meander around
the map trying to avoid the Retreat Edge.
