Return with the Gold -- To win, you must defeat the monster and then return the treasure safely to the start line! After the monster is defeated, remove it from the black cave and set it aside. The player that defeated the monster takes the treasure. A player wins by moving his or her hero onto the start line while in possession of the treasure. If the player with the treasure loses a fight to the bat, the bat steals the treasure and returns it to the black cave. The hero is not returned to the start line if the bat steals the treasure.* A player can take the treasure from the black cave at the end of his or her turn as long as his or her hero is standing next to the black cave. (You don't have to fight the monster again to take the treasure.)

Falling Stones -- Immediately after the monster is defeated, the next player in turn order rolls the die. If a stone color is rolled, remove all stones of that color from the lava stream, except for stones with heroes on them. If black is rolled, nothing happens. If the four-colored side is rolled, the player that rolled the die may choose the color of stones to remove. If red is rolled, the monster attacks! (See below.)

Monster's Revenge -- After the monster is defeated the first time, rolling a red allows a player to place the monster on the lava stream (or move it if it's already on the lava stream) rather than move the wall of fire. The player that places the monster may rotate it and adjust its arms however he or she chooses. Once the arms are in place, heroes can not move past them. Any unfortunate heroes caught between the monster's arms must fight the monster on their turn in the same manner as a bat. If a hero loses a fight with the monster, they are returned to the start line. If they win the fight, the monster is removed from the lava stream and set aside.

* Alternate rule for bats: Instead of a bat stealing the treasure and returning it to the black cave, it moves the hero back to the start line (per the normal game rules) and the treasure remains at the hero's previous location. Any player can then pick up the treasure by moving onto that space.
