I was able to open this file and review it and think you are definitely on to something cool. The one question/criticism that immediately came to mind, though, was why use generic character types such as stormtroopers, rebel soldiers, etc. when there are so many more individual, more memorable characters to choose from? I would also actually stay away from using Royal Guard or Emperor characters as they are reflected in the base tokens. The Empire is lacking in memorable characters relative to the Rebels. Most of my Micromachine Imperial minis are stormtroopers, Tie fighter pilots and grey officers (use black officers for characters). Most of my Rebel minis are Hoth troopers, Rebel troopers and X-wing pilots. Most of my Hutt minis are Sand people and Jawas. What do you think of these slight changes--based on minis that I currently have or could create (some blue and white paint=Admiral Thrawn, etc.)?

POWER –
Empire: Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin (or dark side Mara Jade)
Rebel: Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa (or Lando)
Hutt: Bob Fett
Always roll with 8 sided dice.

WISDOM –
Empire: Admiral Thrawn and Admiral Peitt
Rebel: Old Ben Kenobi and Yoda (or Admiral Ackbar)
Hutt: Jabba The Hutt
Add 1 to all dice.

COMBAT –
Empire: Dark Trooper and Biker Scout (or other special forces type Imperial troops)
Rebel: Han Solo and Chewbacca
Hutt: Greedo
Always re-roll 1’s until each die is not a 1.

Good point. Also, this sort of rule set belongs in the Variants folder, not Rules (which is intended for questions about the published rules).

Also--wondering if you think this variant is potentially weighted against the Hutts (which would not be an issue in 2 or 4 player games)?

1. It is easier for Hutts to permanently lose a character type.
2. Empire and Rebels could have 2 characters each on board while Hutts can only have 1.

I am actually thinking that you have probably chosen the best balance given the relative # starting troops and potential ships, but just wanted to hear your thoughts.

I think I will also add in something like: When an Imperial Character is killed by the Rebel army or vice versa--the force meter moves in favor of the victor (the Hutts do not contribute or get affected by this ability).
